Come along as the Trojans go from their downtown hotel to the Coliseum before Saturday’s game.
(From left to right) Safety Marshall Jones, fullback Alfred Rowe, safety Will Harris and offensive guard Chilo Rachal wait for the clap session at 2:50 p.m. on Saturday at the team’s downtown hotel.
Tailbacks Hershel Dennis (left) and Chauncey Washington (right) sit and wait for the clap session to start, just minutes before the team boards its buses for the Coliseum.
Defensive end Lawrence Jackson packs his bag in the team hotel before going into the clap session, the team’s final walk-thru prior to leaving for the Coliseum.
Their time at the hotel done for this week, the Trojans, including quarterback Mark Sanchez (front) and center Kris O’Dowd (behind) go down the escalator toward the buses.
Besides shutting down the 110 freeway, police motorcycles also flank the team buses to allow the Trojans to travel expeditiously from the downtown hotel to the Coliseum.
Players sit quietly and listen to their iPods as the bus heads to the Coliseum.
A dapper Coach Pete Carroll saunters from the team buses toward the entrance to the “Trojan Walk.”
The Trojans pause together after getting off the buses and before going through the “Trojan Walk” outside the Coliseum.
Quarterback John David Booty high-fives a fan as he progresses through the “Trojan Walk.”
The team waits as one at the top of the Coliseum steps until Coach Carroll sends them down to the field.
The Trojans amble down the same Coliseum stairs that two Olympic torches have ascended.
Center Matt Spanos walks off the field and up the tunnel toward the locker room.
With their pre-game journey complete, the Trojans begin to suit up for the game.
