The Trojans continue to do what no team has ever done before.

With Saturday’s 24-7 win to cap off a 10-2 regular season, USC has won an unprecedented sixth consecutive Pacific-10 Conference championship.

In the first pre-game meeting of the season, three months and 12 games ago, Coach Pete Carroll said his goal was for the Trojans to become a great team.

Then on Friday, during the final pre-game meeting of 2007, Carroll believed the Trojans had reached that point.

Said a joyful Carroll: “You have become a great team.”

A Pac-10 championship-winning team.

For the sixth straight year.
