CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Go along with the Trojans on their cross-country travels today:

With their charter jet in the distance, the Trojans wait in line to check in at LAX’s Imperial Terminal.

Though it’s a charter, the players still have to go through security. Here, security personnel wave wands over (near to far) defensive lineman Armond Armstead, fullback Adam Goodman and linebacker Malcolm Smith.

As a plane takes off on an adjacent runway, tailbacks Broderick Green (left) and Allen Bradford make some final phone calls before the five-hour flight.

The players board the plane directly from the tarmac instead of going through a normal terminal at LAX.

Players amble up the walkway to board their flight to Charlottesville.

Snapper Chris Pousson (62) and kicker David Buehler (right) enter the door of the plane.

On a misty and foggy night at the Charlottesville-Albermarle Airport, the USC traveling party deplanes from the charter jet.

With the lights from the team’s police escort in the distance, rain falls on the Trojan buses en route to their Charlottesville hotel.

With fans waiting, the Trojans arrive at their Charlottesville hotel.
